With two victories on Friday, the Kaukauna wrestling team earned the right to compete for what would be its fourth consecutive WIAA Division 1 state team wrestling title today.

The Galloping Ghosts beat Holmen 47-19 in the semifinals after taking a 47-13 win over Hudson in a quarterfinal at the UW Field House.

For the third consecutive year, Kaukauna (21-0) will meet Stoughton (25-0) in the title match at 3 p.m.

Keaton Kluever, who won the 285-pound championship in last week’s WIAA individual state tournament, won a pair of matches, one by pin.The Galloping Ghosts won 10 of 14 matches against Holmen (17-1) and 11 of 14 against Hudson (14-5), getting four pins in each.

Eric Wunsch, who finished third at individual state at 132, took a 5-1 decision over individual state runner-up Veliko Kochiu in the final match of the day, locking in the Indians’ victory over the Knights (13-1).

Ethan Pogorzelski at 106, Josh McMahon at 160, Jon Thomas at 182 and Logan Fallon at 285 scored pins for the Falls.
