Wrestling shuttle map

Hundreds of high school wrestlers and thousands of their fans will be descending on Madison starting Thursday, so parking could be hard to find Downtown and near the Kohl Center.

The Madison Parking Utility said city parking ramps could be full or nearly full by early Thursday afternoon and also during the day on Friday.

Drivers trying to park in a city ramp can find real-time availability online.

The WIAA is also running a shuttle bus from the Alliant Energy Center grounds off the Beltline and John Nolen Drive, with the shuttle starting at noon on Thursday, 7 a.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. on Saturday, running every 20 minutes until 1 hour after the last wrestling match each day.

The shuttle costs $10 per person for a three-day round trip pass, $5 daily for a round trip pass and $3 daily for a one-way ride.

Parking at the Alliant Energy Center costs $7 a day for a  vehicle or $21 for a bus.

Officials said using the shuttle is highly recommended for events prior to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
