Three vehicles parked on Madison's Southeast Side had windows shot out Sunday afternoon, with the suspect using a BB gun to fire at the vehicles.

Nobody was injured.

Madison police went to the 3200 block of Progress Road at about 4 p.m. Sunday after a caller to 911 reported seeing someone firing a gun at a parked van.

"The van was found to have two windows shot out by a BB or pellet gun," said police spokesman Joel DeSpain.

Officers searched around the area and found two other vehicles with similar damage.

The witness to the BB gun shooting told police the suspect is a male Hispanic in his 20s, wearing a gray sweatshirt and jeans.
