Dana Rettke, a 6-foot-8 middle blocker from Riverside, Illinois, averaged 3.42 kills and 1.37 blocks per set and had a school-record .443 hitting percentage in 2017, her freshman year.

University of Wisconsin middle blocker Dana Rettke continues to add to her collection of honors.

Rettke already has been named Freshman of the Year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, which also tabbed her as a first-team All-American.

Rettke, from Riverside, Illinois, led the Badgers with 3.42 kills per set and set a UW single season record for hitting percentage at .443, breaking the mark of .422 set by Haleigh Nelson in 2015.

PrepVolleyball.com also named Rettke and setter Sydney Hilley to its all-freshman team.
